Hong Kong-ASEAN Foundation Presents Inaugural ASEAN Literary Festival at the 36th Hong Kong Book Fair
08 July 26

The Hong Kong-ASEAN Foundation, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), is delighted to present the inaugural ASEAN Literary Festival at the 36th Hong Kong Book Fair, taking place from 15 to 21 July at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

This first-of-its-kind festival celebrates ASEAN’s rich literary heritage while promoting cultural exchanges and strengthening people-to-people connections between Hong Kong and ASEAN member states. Featured authors include Eka Kurniawan, one of Indonesia’s most internationally acclaimed contemporary novelists; Clarissa Goenawan, an Indonesian-born Singaporean author whose works have been translated into 12 languages; Daryl Yeap, a Malaysia-born author and The Straits Times bestselling writer; and Marga Ortigas, an acclaimed journalist and author with extensive experience in storytelling.  The writers will share their creative journeys and literary works with readers through a series of talks and exchange sessions.

We extend our sincere thanks to the HKTDC for building the meaningful platform that benefits all, and look forward to more fruitful collaborations to deepen ties between Hong Kong and the ASEAN.
